Milk Bath Boudoir: Sarah

I have been wanting to do a Milkbath Session for a long time, almost a year!  I have been watching and watching them grow in popularity and soon everyone will be doing them! So this originally started out as an idea for a Maternity session. A few hours before the session, my client went into early labor and delivered her baby!  I was kicking myself for not having the session a day earlier.  I can't wait to photograph the baby!!  So, with all these supplies here, I wondered about a regular boudoir session with the milk bath. I reached out to Sarah, who had wanted to do a boudoir session for awhile now and asked if this might be something that she would want to do. Her response? "I'm down!"

We started with a regular boudoir session, something I'm not sure I want to do yet but wanted to try it a few times.  I added my own special touches and unique vision.  This one was my opportunity to experience with backlighting.

We had a little fun flipping hair. I told her a story about a military guy named Balczak. We had some smiles. Channing Tatum might have been mentioned a time or two.

So we took this inflatable pool and filled it with hot water until it ran out. We only managed to get about 3-4 inches of water. I had hoped for a bit more.  We added the items after Luanne graciously cut the flower heads off. Sarah brought some cranberries as cherries were not in season...... and then she got in.

Add some cream ...... The milk was warm.

Add some cream ...... The milk was warm.

Add some cranberries ...... Still needed some more color!

Add some cranberries ...... Still needed some more color!

Throw in some bright colored FUN!

Throw in some bright colored FUN!

It all seemed like Sunshine, Rainbow Gumdrops, and Lollipops.  THEN, Adele came on.

Then the song was over. As was the Mo.

Then the song was over. As was the Mo.

And the new mo was born.

And the new mo was born.

The mission of photography is to explain man to man and each to himself. And that is the most complicated thing on earth.
